Curtin Business School's applied research is contributing to sustainable economic growth and development through productive partnerships and collaborative research undertaken with government, business, public-funded agencies, other universities and other faculties at Curtin University.
Our areas of research strengths include:
- Digital business – centrally focused on the application of ICTs but also the development and implementation of information systems.
- Food and agribusiness – encompassing the full supply chain, plus the socio-economic dynamics of communities associated with food production.
- Infrastructure and public policy – housing and transport infrastructure, federalism, innovation policy – what kinds of public policy choices can help develop and sustain Western Australia.
- Mineral and energy resources – incorporating the economics of minerals and energy, and associated management challenges in these sectors.
- Regulation, markets and governance – a strong focus on regulatory regimes, competition policy, tax law, audit and corporate governance.
- Service innovation – examining the dynamics of various service sectors such as sustainable tourism, service organisation management and service procurement.
- Work, labour markets and demographics – interests in labour markets, demographic change, gender issues in employment and industrial relations.
