Summer Program enrolment
Our Summer Program is an excellent opportunity to accelerate your studies or to repeat units within a course. Run in small classes over 2 x 4 hour sessions a week, the six week program is run on the Bentley campus. It is a convenient way to still enjoy your Summer break but also come out ahead at the end.

Please note that registration is on a strictly first come, first served basis and many units do fill up quickly. If there are any units you need to complete urgently (e.g. last unit(s) to finish your course), then it is strongly advised that you get your registration in early to avoid disappointment. Once classes are full, we cannot accommodate additional students.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the program stuctured?
For each unit, there are 8 hours of classes per week, broken into 2 X four hour seminars (40 hours total tuition). Classes are usually paired Monday and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday or Wednesday and Saturday and run at times of either 8am to 12 noon, 12noon to 4pm or 4pm to 8pm. Attendance at all classes is compulsory. Classes have approx 30 students.
How many units can I study?
You can study a maximum of 2 units.
When do I need to pay?
You have to pay when you register.
I'm studying at Curtin, what do I need to know?
Students who are currently studying any Bachelor’s degree or Postgraduate course at Curtin can enrol in any unit running in CBS Summer as long as it is part of their course structure and they have met the relevant unit prerequisites. Students not doing a Commerce course can often use commerce units as electives in their course. Please contact your Academic course advisor for more advice. All CBS Summer units will be enrolled under your course but you will be required to enrol at CBS Student Services even if you are a student from another division. Fees are payable on registration, and FEE-HELP is available to Australian Citizens (conditions apply).
I’m from another Uni, what do I need to know?
Students who are studying a Bachelor’s degree or a Postgraduate course at another University (UWA, ECU, Murdoch etc) are most welcome to study units in our summer program. However, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that any unit they choose to study in our summer program is approved by their home university as being able to be credited toward their course. Permanent residents and International students will be required to enrol with the Curtin Business School as an Extension student and fees will be payable on registration. International students will also need to ensure they already have a valid VISA which covers the entire program.
Australian Citizens studying a Bachelor’s degree or a Postgraduate course at another University have the option of enrolling as an Extension student or enrolling by Cross Institutional enrolment. The main advantage of enrolling by Cross Institutional enrolment is the ability to access FEE-HELP if you do not wish to pay upfront. The procedure for Cross Institutional enrolment will involve getting a Cross Institutional Summer enrolment pack from CBS Student Services, going back to your home institution for approval and returning the forms to CBS Student Services for processing and final approval. I’m not currently studying at Uni, can I still do a Summer Program?
If you wish to study a unit either for personal interest or maybe for Professional accreditation (e.g. CPA), then it is possible to enrol for summer unit/s under an Extension program. Please note that non Australian citizens or residents will need to already have a current Visa which must be valid for the entire summer program (e.g. working or business VISA). FEE-HELP is NOT available to Australian citizens for extension studies.
