Governance & Corporate Social Responsibility Research Unit

This multidisciplinary research unit conducts academic and contract research in the area of governance and corporate social responsibility, with a particular focus on the development of leadership and management practice.

The unit incorporates issues of governance with not only financial accountability, but also environmental and community challenges increasingly being experienced by business and government.

The research agenda has a unique focus in Australia with strong grounding in the corporate governance framework, approached from a business and accountability perspective. The issues are global, but have strong resonance in the region.

The unit also has strong links with research programs in work and family and environmental issues with a strong focus on environment, community, and ethics among principal researchers.

"We must focus, as never before, on improving the conditions of the individual men and women who give the state or nation its richness and character."

Kofi Annan
