Digital Ecosystems and Business Intelligence (DEBI) Institute is a Tier 1 Research Institute for Excellence at Curtin University. It has developed into one of Australia’s centres of research excellence with researchers working at the cutting edge of one of the most exciting and significant fields. It has a unique position internationally working at the intersection of IT and Business and other human endeavours encapsulated by its motto of creating value by making connections.
Research
The Institute’s focus on multi-disciplinary research is demonstrated through its composition of senior academic staff members from 12 Schools across 4 Divisions, as well as 20 centre funded Research Fellows and Research Assistants .
Researchers target the key areas of research identified by the university, local government and ARC, namely ICT for Growth and Prosperity, ICT for health and sustainability, ICT for business intelligence, extended enterprises and industrial informatics. The institute is also supervising more than 50 full time PhD students in these areas of research.

The MSc and Phd degree is offered in either Information and Communication Technologies or Computer Systems Engineering and Communication Engineering.
