About the International Journal of Social Security and Workers Compensation
Social security is an area which dramatically impacts on the survival and quality of life of individuals, households and communities. This is particularly true of the terrain of workers compensation. And yet there is a dearth of journal publications in these fields, in particular journals which provide a platform for international, comparative and discipline-specific, multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary discourse, and which encourage contributions from both researchers and practitioners. It is also an era in which traditional approaches are interrogated and reviewed and innovative approaches and solutions considered.
There is, therefore, a need for a journal which creates space for all of these and which is simultaneously scientifically grounded and authoritative in its own right.

- is an electronic peer-reviewed journal
- focuses on strengthening international discourse in the areas of social security and workers compensation, including the provision of disability support
- published in two issues per year
- designed to be of service both to the academic community and to practitioners in social security and workers compensation
- seeks to publish articles, notes and comments
- welcomes scientific contributions of an analytical, theoretical or applied nature from the academic community and practitioners in any relevant discipline, including law, medicine, economics, epidemiology, sociology, occupational therapy, injury management, rehabilitation and disability studies
- invites multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary studies, as well as studies of particular jurisdictions and comparative studies, especially studies involving multiple countries, regions or sub-national political divisions (such as provinces or states).
- welcomes contributions on innovative approaches in the areas of social security and workers compensation and issues of policy and reform.
Peer reviewing
Is undertaken by members of a distinguished editorial board. The Journal is supported by an advisory board consisting of eminent scholars and specialists from around the world.
