The International Social Security and Workers Compensation Journal is an online double blind peer-reviewed journal which focuses on strengthening international discourse in the areas of social security and workers compensation, including the provision of disability support.
It is published by the School of Business Law, Curtin Business School and edited by Professor Robert Guthrie, Professor in Workers Compensation and Workplace Laws, School of Business Law, Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia, Professor Marius Olivier, Director, International Institute for Social Law and Policy and Dr Marina Ciccarelli, Senior Lecturer, School of Occupational Therapy and Social Work, Health Sciences, Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia.
Peer reviewing is undertaken by members of a distinguished editorial board. The Journal is supported by an advisory board consisting of eminent scholars and specialists from around the world.
Contributions
The IJSSWC welcomes scientific contributions of an analytical, theoretical or applied nature from the academic community and practitioners in any relevant discipline, including:
- law
- medicine
- economics
- epidemiology
- sociology
- occupational therapy
- injury management
- rehabilitation
- disability studies.
Multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary studies, as well as studies of particular jurisdictions and comparative studies, especially studies involving multiple countries, regions or sub-national political divisions (such as provinces or states), are also invited. The journal in particular welcomes contributions on innovative approaches in the areas of social security and workers compensation.
The journal will be published twice a year and it is envisaged that the first issue Vol (1) No (1) will be forthcoming in 2008.
