Welcome from the Head
Welcome to the School of Accounting. The School of Accounting at Curtin Business School has gained an enviable reputation in Western Australia as a school offering excellent accounting programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Programs offered by our School are fully recognised by the three professional accounting bodies in Australia, CPA Australia, the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA) and the National Institute of Accountants (NIA) and our graduates are sought by both the private and public sectors.
The single major program, Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) is founded on a long history of excellence in accounting education at Curtin and is among the most established and prestigious courses in Australia and the region. We also offer a number of double majors including the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Accounting Technologies) where students gain a comprehensive understanding of, and competencies in, the use of technology in accounting and related areas. Our postgraduate programs include the Master of Accounting, a graduate accounting conversion program for graduates from other disciplines.
With the continuing evolution of accounting education, greater emphasis is being placed on the development of analytical thinking and community skills amongst our graduates. These skills include presentations, teamwork, communication and group involvement. Graduates are well-equipped for the exciting and diverse possibilities within today's accounting profession.
Our valuable connections with partner institutions in numerous countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China allow us to offer a range of twinning programs. For more information visit Curtin Business School International (CBSi).
The School of Accounting is involved in consulting to external organisations including the provision of accounting courses to industry, commerce and government. Our academic staff are well qualified, experienced and dedicated to excellence in teaching and research.
