Teaching Areas
Since joining Curtin GSB, Anna has lectured and developed MBA units in the areas of Accounting Information System, Financial Management, Strategic Cost Management, Environmental Management Strategy and Business Research Project in China. In addition to being the current unit controller of the above-mentioned units, Anna has also been unit controller of Corporate Finance and Legal Environment. Anna developed and leads the China Business Study Tour each year. The business tour enables participants to conduct individual research within the China business sector. Business organisations visited in Shanghai and Beijing include Lenovo, Baoshan Iron & Steel, Ernst and Young DaHua, and Shanghai Petroleum Corp. She also speaks Bahasa Malaysia and various Chinese dialects, including Mandarin.

Anna is a Certified Practising Accountant by profession with more than 20 years of experience in various fields, including financial management, management accounting and business development in the information technology, engineering and education industries. Her experience includes roles as Management Consultant, Finance Manager and Financial Controller.In her professional capacity as a CPA with a passion for Corporate Accountability, Anna consults extensively to clients from not-for-profit, government and private sectors. These include organisations in industries such as those from AUSAID, Information Software Consulting, CPA Australia, Water Corporation (WA), The Australian Centre for Natural Gas Management and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WA).

Research Interests
Anna’s research interests include: Corporate environmental accountability and disclosures, International accounting issues, Triple Bottom Line reporting, China corporate environmental management, and Education for Sustainability. She is a member of the Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility research unit, and the Australian Research Institute in Education for Sustainability (ARIES), funded by the Commonwealth Department of Environment and Heritage. In addition, Anna is an affiliate of the Centre for Environmental Strategy (University of Surrey, UK). She conducts research into environmental accounting, triple-bottom-line reporting, management in China and Education for Sustainability. Her PhD research was focused on environmental management accountability in China. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of the Asia Pacific Centre for Environmental Accountability. Anna is the co-editor of Greener Management International – China Special Issue.
