More Information

Thorsten Stromback is Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Finance, Curtin University. Since obtaining his PhD in Econometrics from the University of Southampton he has worked mainly in the field of labour economics. He undertakes a wide range of commissioned research for Commonwealth and State Government departments on issues concerning the operation of labour markets, labour market policy, the economics of education and training, the labour market experience of immigrants and immigration policy.

His academic work has been published in the Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, Applied Economics, The Economic Record, Australian Economic Papers, The Journal of Industrial Relations, Australian Bulletin of Labour, Australian Economic Review, and several other journals. He is also the co-author of a recent textbook in labour economics aimed at advanced undergraduate and graduate students. Among his more recent work is a book about the economics of the apprenticeship system.
